Karen Overgaard is a recognized expert in the field of holistic nursing. She is a member of the American Holistic Nurses Association and serves on the Advisory Board for Integrative Touch For Kids. She has more than twenty years clinical nursing experience, including her work with Dr. Rosen as a primary care pediatric nurse. Karen is certified as an instructor in infant massage, yoga, fitness and dance; additionally, she is a Reiki Master. Most recently, Karen coordinated the Kids’ Weigh to Health program at Pascack Valley Hospital for children with weight and nutrition issues. Karen teaches yoga classes for special-needs children and their families, and she has assisted in teaching creative movement to children with autism in a pilot after-school program. She recently graduated from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition (NYC) as a Certified Holistic Health Counselor.
